The ice machines make use of water filters, so the quality is better but you don’t have to cover the expense of bottled water. This can be used for your coffee maker in the room as well as other drinks.

Do not travel with wrapped gifts. When traveling for the holidays, it is tempting to get things done ahead of time and wrap all of your gifts, but don’t! The TSA does not allow wrapped gifts onto airlines and they may need to unwrap the gifts to inspect their contents.

Here is a tip for travelers! For tastier coffee when staying in a hotel, use ice instead of tap water. Many hotel rooms come equipped with a small coffee maker, but using tap water almost always results in poor coffee. Ice from hotel ice machines is made using filtered water. So, fill your coffee maker with ice at night (so it can melt), you can enjoy coffee made from crisp, filtered water in the morning!

When renting a car take the time before you leave the parking garage to acquaint yourself with its most basic features. Make sure an instruction manual for the car model is in the glove box and take time to skim through it. It’s no fun to pull into rush hour traffic just as a thunder storm hits if you don’t know how to turn on the windshield wipers!

Check to see if your credit issuer provides any type of insurance when traveling abroad. You might be already covered for cancelled flight that get charged to the card. Conducting research prior to leaving is worth it.
